劉瑞明，中國人民大學(xué)國家發(fā)展與戰(zhàn)略研究院教授、博導(dǎo)，國有經(jīng)濟(jì)研究院執(zhí)行院長，《產(chǎn)業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)評論》執(zhí)行副主編，近年來以第一作者或通訊作者身份在《經(jīng)濟(jì)研究》、《管理世界》、《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)季刊》、《世界經(jīng)濟(jì)》、《中國工業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)》、Research Policy、Journal of Corporate Finance等雜志發(fā)表60余篇論文，主持國家社會(huì)科學(xué)基金重大項(xiàng)目、國家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目、教育部人文社科基金項(xiàng)目等多項(xiàng)國家級、省部級項(xiàng)目，曾獲得“教育部中國高校科學(xué)優(yōu)秀成果獎(jiǎng)”、“全國優(yōu)秀博士論文提名獎(jiǎng)”、“第四屆張培剛發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)青年學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)”、“第六屆黃達(dá)-蒙代爾經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)獎(jiǎng)”、“首屆譚崇臺發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)獎(jiǎng)”、“第四屆洪銀興經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)獎(jiǎng)”等學(xué)術(shù)榮譽(yù)。
【摘要】
Can entrepreneurship persist, even after the imprisonment of the market? Using county-level panel data for Shaanxi, China, from 1978 to 1990, we examine the causal relationship between Ming-Qing Businessmen (MQB) and Township and Village Enterprise (TVE) establishment. Leveraging the policy shock targeting TVEs in 1984, in a difference-in-differences framework, we find that counties with more MQB experienced faster TVEs’ growth after the policy. This growth is economically significant, persistent and can be explained by the sensitivity and ability to capture opportunities for TVEs' development in different counties, bringing considerable long-term economic welfare.
