【摘要】This paper studies the implications of labor reallocation for the welfare effects of transportation infrastructure in a quantitative spatial model with costly trade and migration. Migration frictions generate imperfect spatial arbitrage of individual well-being and imply that the impacts of transportation infrastructure depend on the change in labor flow across locations. Our analyses on the highway expansion in China indicate a difference in the extent of labor reallocation over time. We show that labor reallocation accounts for 4% of the overall welfare gains from highway construction in the short run but 25% in the long run. The distributional effects of highway construction also differ due to the reversal in migration flows between small and large cities.
【主講人簡(jiǎn)介】楊曦，男，廈門(mén)大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院國(guó)際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易系副教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究方向：國(guó)際貿(mào)易理論與實(shí)證、空間經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、城市與區(qū)域發(fā)展、勞動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)。目前已在《經(jīng)濟(jì)研究》、《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)（季刊）》、Journal of Urban Economics、World Economy等雜志發(fā)表論文多篇， 并擔(dān)任國(guó)內(nèi)外多個(gè)重要期刊的匿名審稿人。主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金青年項(xiàng)目等課題。曾獲得福建省第十三屆社會(huì)科學(xué)優(yōu)秀成果獎(jiǎng)和《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)（季刊）》2016-2017年度最優(yōu)論文獎(jiǎng)。
