題目：The internationalization of Emerging Market Firms: A Geographic Relational Perspective

演講內(nèi)容簡介：
The growth of outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) from emerging markets has increased scholarly attention to the internationalization of emerging market firms (EMFs). This attention has in turn led to developments in the field in parallel with theoretical advances on the internationalization of developed market firms (DMFs). Yet, we believe there are still some opportunities to learn more from the unique features of the internationalization of EMFs. We approach this opportunity using a problematization approach. We contend that the generation of new knowledge in studying EMFs is limited because scholars view EMF OFDI predominantly as a strategic decision. We complement the strategic approach by introducing a geographic relational perspective. This perspective enables us to focus attention on theory development about EMFs’ internationalization by highlighting process thinking, complex social realities, and relational practice. Situating EMF internationalization within multifaceted contextual influences and integrating it with research on path-dependence and practice, our geographic relational lens generates new challenging research questions for understanding EMF internationalization.
主講人簡介：
Ping Deng教授現(xiàn)任美國克里夫蘭大學(xué)商學(xué)院管理學(xué)正教授 (終身)和全球商務(wù)講席 (該大校最高學(xué)術(shù)榮譽和稱號)。作為該校全球商務(wù)首席教授, Ping Deng教授的主要職責(zé)之一是領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和發(fā)展特別是全球商務(wù)領(lǐng)域的研究項目, 為提升該校和商學(xué)院的國際名聲發(fā)揮學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)作用。Ping Deng教授的主要研究領(lǐng)域是亞太國家尤其是中國的對外直接投資、全球戰(zhàn)略管理以及新興跨國公司全球競爭, 并且被公認為該研究領(lǐng)域里的著名學(xué)者和領(lǐng)先者。Ping Deng教授是美國國際管理學(xué)會（AOM）、美國國際商務(wù)學(xué)會(AIB)、美國戰(zhàn)略管理協(xié)會（SMS）的委員，現(xiàn)擔任國際頂尖商業(yè)類期刊Journal of World Business、Management and Organization Review、Asia Pacific Journal of Management的編委，并一直擔任多個國際頂尖商業(yè)期刊的評審人，其已在Journal of World Business、International Business Review、Management and Organization Review、International Journal of Management Reviews、Organizational Dynamics等頂尖期刊發(fā)表論文數(shù)十篇。根據(jù)Google Scholar最新統(tǒng)計, 僅最近5年里，Ping Deng教授的論文和演講在全球的學(xué)術(shù)引用超過1700余次。 Ping Deng教授近年的每篇論文幾乎都成為所發(fā)表期刊中引用率最高的論文之一, 從而在該領(lǐng)域的學(xué)術(shù)研究和實際應(yīng)用中廣為引用。例如：
